16 Years in the Field. Built From the Ground Up.

Rene Hernandez is the Owner and Master Electrician at Copperfield Electric, a licensed, bonded, and insured C-10 Electrical Contractor (License #1094740) serving Orange County, South Los Angeles County, and Riverside County. With 16 years of hands-on experience spanning Union apprenticeship, journeyman work, and independent contracting, Rene brings a level of technical depth and field-tested expertise that is rare in the residential and commercial electrical space.

Rene’s path into the trade began through word of mouth from a close friend, who encouraged him to join the IBEW’s pre-apprentice program. He started working in the solar fields in Lancaster before earning his place at Morrow Meadows, where he entered the IBEW Local 11 Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Program — one of the most rigorous electrical training programs in California. Rene completed all 5 years of the apprenticeship through the Electrical Training Institute (ETI), Local 11, based at 6023 Garfield Ave, Commerce, CA. After passing his California General Electrician exam, he went on to work as a Union Journeyman for an additional 5 years before passing the California C-10 Electrical Contractor exam and founding Copperfield Electric.
